Day1/90Days-of-Devops Challenge (Part 3)
Day 1 of 90-Days-Of-DevOps-Challenge: Why DevOps is important and how it came into the picture in the IT industry.
Hello everyone! As part of the 90-Days-Of-DevOps-Challenge, today, I want to talk about why DevOps is essential and how it came into the picture in the IT industry.
DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and information technology operations (Ops) to deliver high-quality software faster and with greater efficiency. It's a buzzword that has been around for quite some time now.
So, why is DevOps important? The answer is simple - it helps organizations to deliver high-quality software faster and with greater efficiency. By breaking down silos between development and operations teams, DevOps enables better communication and collaboration, resulting in faster time to market, reduced costs, and better customer satisfaction.
DevOps has become an essential part of the IT industry today, with most organizations adopting it to streamline their software development and delivery processes. It has also led to the emergence of new tools and technologies that support DevOps practices, such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, and Containerization technologies.
In my upcoming blog posts, I'll be covering some of the popular DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible, and how they can help you to implement DevOps practices in your organization.
As a beginner in the field of DevOps, I encourage you to keep learning and exploring the many benefits that DevOps has to offer. So, stay tuned for more exciting content from me.
Finally, my fellow batchmates Amit Kumar r and Chinmay Yerudkar are also part of the 90-Days-Of-DevOps-Challenge. They have shared their thoughts on the future scope of DevOps and the roles of a DevOps engineer, respectively. Do check out their posts to gain more insights into the world of DevOps.
